One of our change ideas is to eliminate the duplicate activities for volunteers and organizations where volunteers are registered, screened, and required to submit a Criminal Record and/or Vulnerable Sector check with every organization they want to volunteer with.

Volunteers registering with the Volunteer Centre will complete the screening process once, and be given a Volunteer Passport which allows them to volunteer with all of the organizations participating in our Passport program.

The screening process is completed following the highest standards, and streamlines the volunteer process for both the volunteer and the organization.
